How do you tell how much fat you've lost and muscle you've gained?

I'm not exactly sure how accurate this is but I remember in gym class they would use this weird device that would gently pinch different areas of your body (like arms and legs). That is what they used it to determine the fat to muscle ratio (since the muscle wouldn't move as much as the fat). I'm not sure how accurate those things are or even where to get them, though. Sorry wish I could be more help!0

I go to this place that has a bod pod, basically this egg shape thing that you sit in and it tells your exact weight, how much of it is fat, muscles, even bone and water. If you have one in your area I highly suggest it, my husbands military and they have one on post but I'm sure there has to be other places that have it.0

You would need to know your body fat percentage from before you started losing weight, as well as after your weight loss.0

My gym has a body composition analyser, basically a very fancy set of scales. You stand on it and it tells you how much water, fat, muscle, bone mass you have. It can even tell you if your left leg has more fat than your right, lol. Some home scales can tell you a basic version of this, e.g. mine gives body fat % and water %, some of the fancier ones do bone mass and muscle also.0

you can go to fat2fitradio and use the calculators. If you have a record of your measurements from when you started you can compare them to where you are now.0

Your eyes and a tape measure. Take pictures and compare yourself as your weight or dress size changes. And look up "covert bailey". Just its a method to calculate fat percentage based on width of certain body parts compared to others. It's a good free way to keep track of yourself0
