I started last week at 200 lbs. At the beginning of this week I was 197, now I just weighed myself again and i'm at 195. I've been trying to cut out carbs and fast food. I have also been tracking my calories. I have yet to add in any exercise.

It is possible in the first week.

A lot of people lose a lot of weight the first week of dieting. This is water weight, not fat.

The weight loss will slow down.

As long as you are eating healthy and not netting below 1200 cals, you should be fine.

This^^ Probably a bit of fat loss in there but mostly water if you have reduced carbs and fast food/sodium.

Yup, definitely in the first week. I lost 5 pounds after the first day. After that, it became more steady.

Keep going. You are on the right track.

Yes and it isn't only the first week. I commonly lose five lbs during that friendly monthly visit from Aunt Flo. I don't always gain five either. I will gain a couple, lose five.
