    I'm 5'8 and 211.8. I just wanted to give it an honest go at exercising hard before I started cutting types of foods completely out of my diet. Although I understand the need for balance and that you can't use all your calories on candy bars.

    Based on your stats, you should be eating around 2000 calories daily. This includes exercise so you do NOT need to eat back exercise calories. The faster you transition to natural whole foods, the faster the weight will come off due to whole foods having less sodium. You can still splurge occasionally as well all do. Also,when you start to eat clean, your body will get to a point where wont be able to eat greasy unhealthy foods. I can't eat french fries any more or greasy hamburgers or any fast food.
