Phyllis husk...anyone?

Does anyone take this fiber supplement? What are your thoughts? Does it help you to loose weight? I've been taking it for almost a week now, and I've become more regular (sorry, TMI), and feel like I'm not as bloated. I usually take it in the morning, and if I'm going to eat a "bad" or heavy dinner I'll take it about 30 minutes before hand to feel more full. Is this ok??

You mean Psyllium husk?
It's fine. It's what's in metamucil. Just don't go overboard with it. It can cause blockages.0 -
Yes, lol that's what it is. Thank you!0

I use this occasionally for IBS, not for dieting purposes, though I can see how it would work to make you feel fuller. As Sabine_Stroeh says, it can cause blockages in your gut, so you MUST make sure you drink loads of water with it, over and above the liquid to make up the drink itself. This will help it all move along, so to speak, and prevent it getting stuck.0

Thanks! I do drink more than enough liquids I think. I usually drink about 10-15 servings (8oz.) of water a day.0
