Holiday aftermath..........

Just come back from a week all inclusive hol in Spain & I'm too scared to get on the scales!! I need to get back into good eating asap, but always find the mindset after hols difficult to re-adjust. I was just 2lbs off my goal before hol, although that will now obviously be more. I always struggle at weekends anyway as my 1200cals is difficult to stick to, especially when socialising. Got meal out for anniversary on Monday & then next weekend is bank hol & my son's 16th garden party. HELP.....

Just get on the scale so that you can assess the damage. Putting your head in the sand isn't going to help you, you need to know where you are so that you can move in the correct direction to get where you want to go.0

It is hard to do too much damage in a week, any weight gain is probably a combination of water weight and some remaining digestive processes. Get on the scale and see where you are at, and I imagine that most of what you have 'gained' will disappear in the next couple of days. Either way it is a small price to pay for a little break, keep it a happy memory.0

Im in the same boat! But yeah its one week I mean even if you ate loads the most you could really have put on is a few pounds and then some water retention. I got back yesterday evening and thought yikes I cant face the scales cos my pants was certainly tighter :P but this morning I was only 4lbs up and I reckon that 2lbs or a bit more of it is just water weight. So dont worry youre so close to goal its no big deal itll just take a few weeks more and you know its worth it for having a nice holiday!
Its a lifestyle change, life will always get in the way of weight loss and thats the fun of it!0 -
Ok you all talked me into it, so I've got on them.......just under 7lbs (6.8)!! Kind of what I expected I suppose. Hoping it will be gone in a few weeks, & then a few more for my ultimate goal :-)0

Not bad at all! Its easy get overwhelmed with the scale. I only remembered lately that sometimes when I was slim and totally happy with my weight I would weigh myself ccasionally out of interest. and I could easily vary by 7lbs every couple of days and that was fine. There are a lot of factors. So really its not a big deal in the grand scheme of things! Its even good to have the break youll reach your goal in no time woman!0
