So I started off a year or so ago I guess it has been now at around 225lbs. I am 5'6, so I was quite heavy. I am currently sitting at 159lbs for an estimated weight loss of 66lbs, yet I still can't seem to shake the feeling that I'm not doing enough. I still feel fat and that I am lazy and unmotivated. I absolutely hate running but have been trying to do so every other day. I run about 2.3 miles, the 1st mile I do at 10 minutes even with a pretty good sized hill right at the end of it. Then I feel near death and walk for a couple minutes and finish out the rest in time to have completed the entire 2.3 miles in 24 minutes. For me this is really fast especially the first mile. When I first started this, I couldn't run for more than 30 seconds, literally. Yet, I still feel like I am failing somehow. I do the elliptical full body workout sometimes in place of running and am able to stay at it longer and I even get a much better sweat going but I have heard it's really not as effective as running outside. A few times a week I also go and use the bowflex type machine at the gym for some strength training and I've also changed my diet from Mcdoubles and Mcchickens to a fairly strict healthy 40/30/30 diet. I feel like I am doing a lot but not nearly as much as a lot of other people are doing on here and I don't know how I'd ever be able to be the guy who runs 5 miles 4 times a week. I guess I'm at a point where I'm feeling like I need to come to terms with the fact that I may never be able to do as much as others but I'm doing something and its better than nothing and I should be happy with what progress I have made. I'm having an extremely difficult time doing that though.
