What is the furthest you have ever traveled from home? Where did you go and where is/was home?

For me it would have been from Abilene Texas to New York City. I have never ONCE been out of the continental United States )-:

I live in Alberta, Canada. I'm Mozambican so I've gone there a few times. It's just north east of South Africa. And once on the way to Mozambique, we had to stop in Hong Kong. I think that's about as far as you can get from Canada haha

Define "home" since that keeps changing...

At one point, I was living close to Alaska in northern British Columbia and I traveled to Prince Edward Island for a family reunion... around 3800 miles as a crow flies... I've also flown from Ontario to Copenhagen, Denmark which works out to about the same distance. One of these years, I'm going to visit Australia (bucket list item)...

I was in a musical group as a kid. Every summer we loaded up buses and away we went. I lived in Indiana then and I've been in every single state in the continental US at least once. Longest trip I've made myself was when I moved from CT to Kansas.

Korea and Japan probably are the farthest. I've been all over Europe, and the U.S., Canada and Mexico. I'd like to go to South America some day.

Weird...not sure how to calculate everything:

In one single trip I went from Seattle to Thailand, then to Guam, then hawaii, then home. Seattle to Moscow, Russia. Detroit to Iraq.

    Driving?

Seattle to lower-Alabama. 3200 miles or so, if I recall.

Not too far. I hate travel. But I live in the DR every winter. I couldn't imagine more than four hours on a plane.

CCBurns, do you live in Abilene? I live in a small town outside of Abilene, but have to "go to town" for most everything we need.

Albuquerque, NM to Key West, FL...beautiful drive, followed the Gulf Coast most of the way back home, looked for alligators in Alligator Alley, and had oysters, beer and live jazz on Bourbon Street.
