My YMCA has gotten in a few new machines. One is the Precor's AMT. It is a cross from an elliptical and a stairstepper.

Ohmigosh. I have been on it for a week and I swear I've lost a clothes size. Everyone has noticed so it's not just me. I feel strong and so well! You gotta try it. kc

You've got a AMT? Wow, I would love to hear about it. And mostly, how much did it cost? have you had any problems with the machine? Was it hard to put together? Thanks, kc

If you are asking me, NO I do NOT have one, and I have never even tried a AMT, do not know what they are even! I own a commercial grade Precor Eliptical , My son and I bought it from a going out of business gym, was almost new so with shipping it was close to $2500.00. I also have a treadmill! Keep doing something you like, just push yourself longer and harder each week! Best wishes!

My gym has these, and they are awesome! I don't really burn too many more calories than a normal elliptical, but I can feel the workout in my muscles differently. I like to alternate between this machine and a traditional elliptical.

You know I saw where the calories at not high. And I don't believe it. It is so much of a struggle to stay on that thing for 20 minutes where I can do the elliptical at resistence 5, 8, and 12 for 30 minutes

And my waist went down 2 inches in1 week and a half. Never did that on the elliptical. I love that machine which I fondly call the 'monster.'

That's awesome that it makes that much of a difference for you! I measured my calories using a device like a bodybugg, and it isn't that different between the two machines for me, but like I said - the workout definitely _feels_ different, so I like to alternate and change things up between the different machines.

i've heard of that body bug. It was too pricey for me but sounded great. I got a pedometer and can't figure out how to program it. I'm so challenged. I have to go in right now reprogram the coffee pot. Uugh! Have a good day tomorrow. night, kc
