Pizza on a pita

Hi got this recipe from food lovers, Its awsome.

1 whole wheat pita (I use 2 half pitas, which is even better, not included in nutritional analysis)
1-4 Tbl Classico spaghetti sauce or salsa
1/4 cup part skim or fat free shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 of a bell pepper
1/2 small zucchini squash, diced
2 mushrooms, sliced
2 oz chicken breast, cooked and diced

Pre-heat over 375 F.
In a small sprayed fry pan saute veggies 2-4 minutes
Place the pita, cut in half on sprayed oven or pizza pan, bottom side up. (make a circle)
Spread sauce over pitas, sprinkle with cheese, add sauteed veggies
and top with cooked chicken.
Bake15 to 20 minutes, until pita is golden brown on bottom.
Lift with spatula and Enjoy. :tongue:
Optional Add (morning star cooked sausages, onion, stir fry veggies, unlimited options)

Serves 1
372 calories, 29.5gm protein, 39gm carbs, 8.2gms fat, 6gm fiber

    Yum, I do the same thing only I use whole wheat tortillas instead of the pita. I let the tortilla crisp up in the oven for a couple minutes, then add all the topping and bake for about 10 min. So delicious!:happy:

    hmm that sounds good! i need to buy some pita bread next time i'm at the store, I forgot about pita!
