Gay pride marches banned in Moscow for 100 years

Also on Friday, as the ***** Riot sentences came out, the top court in Moscow upheld the city's ban on gay pride marches for the next 100 years.

In July, the city of St. Petersburg banned what would have been the first authorized gay pride rally in Russia. Earlier this year the city had adopted a law that fines persons for the "propagation of homosexuality" and "promotion of gay lifestyles."

This should also play to Putin's base since, as Buchanan noted that "Russia has shown intolerance for gay rights and expression related to LGBT rights."

    Gay Pride in Seattle is amazing. I doubt the 100 year law will last though. Think of how much has changed here in just the last 50 years.
