June of 2008 I became serious about perm. change. Somehow, each month, I have stuck to that goal.

MFP has been instrumental in pulling me back from disaster. Recent sugar and junk craziness was counter acted with help from friends here.

I now believe it is forever.

What surprises me is I went to maint cals last month and lost another pound. Go figure!

Thanks everyone! I know that in my first few months the achievments of others was what speared me on.

Tamtastic made me :noway: each day.........I would see 93....99...100....120 pounds...........I thought if she can loss 100+ pounds with diet and exercise, I can surely lose 30!!

Tami has been a great friend as well as many others who inspire me each day. Marla-makes me look at my pain in a different way.

People running marathons after losing 100+ pounds or just running period when they started with 10 minutes on the treadmill and then needed oxygen.....<--points to self:laugh:  )

It just amazes me............THIS is who I am now!!

    WOOT!!

    You're amazing!
I agree about the folks here who are losing lots of weight. I often just read people's profiles & posts & look at their photos. It has really changed my outlook.

WELL DONE!! Slow and steady you say? What an inspiration. That's the way I am going this time. My profile picture 4 years ago at 54 is what I want to look like again. The older I get the more difficult it is though. MFP helps keep me accountable!

Ren, I really think it is the way to go. I canNOT lose fast now and I do not want to. I wanted to be healthy......when the doc did a :noway: and a  and a :grumble: at my testing results, looked at my weight and said......it is a matter of time. Right now I will put you on Crestor, which made me sick as a dog. And another cholesteral med.........but not only that but your weight and age are going to bring on more weight and the good chance of diabetes and high blood pressure............I knew I had to do something.

You are a beautiful woman either way.............I would just say you will be a healthier person with the new changes.

    Good luck! :flowerforyou:
