I need ideas for higher protein breakfasts. I'm not getting enough protein for breakfast unless I have my shake, but i'd like to change itup a little.

I had me a good 51g protein all natural breakfast this morning: eye-round steak tips, 3-eggs, freshly sauteed onions, peppers, mushrooms, sprinkle of bleu cheese crumbles.....

That will hold me for a good 4 hours!

    Protein pancakes:

1 cup old fashioned oatmeal, placed in blender and ground to oat flour.
    1 cup cottage cheese
    1 cup egg whites
    dash of cinnamon
    dash of nutmeg
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 packet of splenda

blend all ingredients together and let sit for a minute or two ....use additional egg whites to thin the batter if necessary.
cook as you would regular pancakes. Serve with sugar free syrup.

I get 3 servings out of the recipe, each about 20 gms of protein. Estimated calories are 300 per serving.
