I wonder if you could have cut out something that was providing some micro-nutrients that haven't been replaced?0

What kind of spots? Acne. I tend to break out some when I exercise more. Probably from the sweating. MAke sure you hydrate to keep the moisture in your skin.0

Unless a qualified medical nutritionist or better answers your question - i think anything else will be just speculation. That said, I had over a week in hospital once with abdominal pains. Turns out it was plain old appendicitis. During that time it was nil by mouth and a drip for hydration. Three days into hospitalisation and i broke out in spots. My doctor advised that the spots were caused by toxins leaving my body: a side-effect/benefit of calorie restriction (those from unhealthy food i guess) apparently. Do you think this could be the cause of your spots? If so, I imagine they will clear up once your body adjusts to your new regime - but don't take my word for it0

I agree with axenosher, it's probably just the toxins leaving your body - it'll level out soon and your skin will clear up and be much better (imo).0

When you store fat, it isn't just pure energy it's also hormones, nutrients and toxins - whatever was in your body when you took in excess calories. As you use up that fat, it releases those substances back into your system, causing you to get spots. The best thing you can do is try to eat as healthily as possible now so as not to add to the problem, and lots of water probably wouldn't hurt either.0
