Workout Foods

Alright, so I'm a college student living in the dorms. My food options are incredibly limited but I'm not letting that stop me. I have a small mini fridge in my room and have access to a dining hall right outside my dorm building.
So, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I don't start class until 11:10, so I was planning on getting up at 7:30 to go workout and such (yay free college gyms!).
But I'm always pretty hungry right when I wake up, but I can't workout when I've just eaten a large meal (a small snack is best). I know a banana is one of the best pre-workout foods, but I can't keep those in my room without them going bad (I can't run to WalMart every few days to get bananas). I keep a LOT of yogurt in my fridge because it lasts a month or sometimes longer, but I'm not sure if it's a good pre-workout food. I need something light so I don't throw up when I'm working out, but something that will keep me from passing out from not eating enough.
Any suggestions? A Yoplait Light yogurt is about 90 calories, 16g carbs (10 sugar), and 5 g protein. Does that sound good or should I get something else (if making suggestions, preferably something cheap- I'm livin' the college life right now, haha).
After I work out, I plan on eating real breakfast. I know after-workout nutrition is best at a carb:protein ratio of 2:1. Scrambled eggs and a banana (my usual breakfast fare) puts me at 25 carbs and 13 protein. Does that sound good? Again, I'm open to suggestions.

This doesn't answer your question directly. A george forman grill would help you. They're cheap too.
I am confused, you said you don't like to eat before workout but you're asking for pre workout meal ideas?
Then you're talking about your yogurt and saying if it's okay? What you mean by "okay?" If you're not hungry then it's okay. That simple.
Sorry, I stayed up late last night so my thinking isn't very clear today.
I mean I don't like to eat a lot before I exercise because it makes me feel sick while running. But if I don't eat something, I usually pass out (because the last time I will have eaten something will be more than 12 hours before).
As for the yogurt, I'm asking if it's nutritonally a sound idea for a pre-workout snack. I'm still learning nutrition. Somebody here might be able to tell me something like "Not enough protein before working out" or "Too much sugar before working out, you'll crash."
Basically, I'm looking for advice on a nutritionally smart, yet small, pre-workout snack. And also for ideas on post-workout meals.
Sorry for the confusion- my brain just isn't functioning very well today.0 -

i like to have a protein bar before i work out0 -
I never eat before I workout in the morning. I drink a bottle of water and keep it moving. Then eat right when I'm done. During the week after work i stop eating at about 430pm so at 6pm I can do my workout without feeling feel. Then I'll eat a small snack after that.0

rice cake with peanut butter is what I have sometimes or that with a banana. banana's do last like a week or so, just keep them in a cool dry place you can just buy 3 at a time too, does your canteen have them?0

I would go straight to the gym, then come back and eat. Do a greek yogurt for the extra protein and maybe a protein bar to keep you going until lunch time.0

If you put bananas in your dorm fridge the skin will get brown but the inside stays good. I keep them that way for up to a week.
You could also get a shaker cup and have just a basic protein shake - powder and water.
Good for you for taking advantage of the college gym, good luck!0 -
Thanks for all the responses, but I'm going to bump so I can hopefully get a few more.0
