P90X Nutrition Problem

Hi everyone. I'm new to the boards! I was hoping you all may have a solution to a problem I'm having.

So, I'm on Day 24 of P90X, and the workouts are great, but I'm having trouble knowing how many calories I need to consume.

Now, I know the Nutrition Guide is mainly geared towards normal weighted folks who just want to get "ripped", however I am not normal in weight. I weigh 270 lbs and my height is 5'9". How would I modify the nutrition guide to fit my caloric needs? Right now I'm eating between 1900-2000 kcal a day. If I followed the guide's caloric needs for someone around my weight, I would have to eat 3,000 kcal! I feel like that's not right for me.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
