Well I too put a strict ban on trans fat, only to discover the thought is changing , that they may not be bad for you after all. I still buy o transfat, and the smaller amount doesn't concern me. The trouble is, nothing is healthy if overdone. White bread bad, fats bad, fruits high sugar, eggs cholesterol, milk fat. meat fattening, caffine etc. I'm just sick of buying into it. So I think the key is moderation. I have a little sugar, very little transfat, and real butter once in a blue moon. If a diet is desgusting we're defeating the purpose. I love those rice crispie treats. They help me miss cake and cookies less. Good luck all, enjoy your life and diet.

    I agree 100%.

I ignored that advice and that's how I got fat!
  • This is how I think also. I think that a huge part of dieting is plain old simple moderation. I can't live on diet food alone, I have to force feed myself some of the food. Kudos to those who can eat all that weird diet food. I think that too much of anything can be bad. HH:wink:
  • Are you sure you mean trans fats? There's been no discussion about them being anything but unhealthy that I've seen or heard--anywhere.
Saturated fats, short chain fats, and other unsaturated fats...that's another story.

yes I read the article online while researching transfats. The problem I have is that no matter what I read or research, there is always an opposite opinion. You cant seem to get the real truth of anything.
