Old injury

Had a hip flexor injury in March. Been fully recovered for a couple of months. Recently I've bumped up my exercise routine. Been running but have added in weight training.
The last couple of days I've felt my injury. It doesn't hurt. Just feels sore.
I really don't want to back off what I've been doing. But also don't want to injury myself again.
Just because I can feel it, does it mean I'm close to injuring it again? Or will I always feel it?
What can I be doing to prevent this injury from happening?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

    My best guess. Too much too soon. Ease up. Change up. If something hurts. There's a reason.
