For those that have done Atkins or are on it...

How much did you lose during induction?

I am not doing a "proper" induction but staying between 25-40gr of carbs a day. I used to be at around 130-160gr.

So far I've lost 3lbs in a week and am happy. Just curious as to what other have lost doing less than 20grams a day.

    First 2 weeks I lost something like 15 or 16 pounds I think. But I had tons to lose.

    I did Atkins years ago, I did lose weight quickly without exercising. You should occaisionally add an apple to your diet to keep "regular". I couldn't do it now, I'm older and need exericise to lose weight.

    I reached one of my mini-goals today. Wanted to be under 140 by tomorrow. Weighed on at 139 today brings my weightloss to 13lbs! :wink:

    Just 9 more lbs to go!

    Hey, thats a great weight loss. Im looking into starting this as I cant exercise due to injury so thinking a low carb lifestyle might be what I need.

    I lost like 20 lbs. in 3 weeks (had a lot to lose).

    I transitioned straight into healthy diet and ended up losing 90 lbs in 6 months.

    Unfortunately I gained it back after 3 years staying fit and trim.

    I'm almost back there now.

    If you transition to the maintenance diet, there's nothing really wrong with it.
