My First 5K

Options
Today was the 5K Run For Her for Ovarian cancer. 4 months ago when I signed up for it I was not a runner and I used it not only to motivate me to continue to exercise but to try and develop the endurance to run.

I trained faithfully, by myself, and I finished the race today in 30 minutes. I am so proud of myself.

Just wanted to share my excitement.

Thanks!

Good for you! I wish I could find that kind of motivation... running isn't my thing.

Is your next stop a half marathon? You can do it! :flowerforyou:

I am training now for a 5K at the end of January!
I started running over a month ago and I think I am doing well but not sure...
Would you care to share some suggestions? I would really REALLY appreciate it!

Congratulations! :flowerforyou: I hope to run my first 5k on the 28th. I'm sure I won't do nearly as good on the time as you did though. I'll be happy just to finish.

I do plan on moving up to a 1/2 marathon. I would like to do a few more 5Ks and try and beat that 10 minute mile....
