"Too Few Calories"

I've been doing this for almost a week. I know it isn't a long time, but I've been working at getting a decent amount of calories and what not. I almost ALWAYS get that thing saying I'm eating too few calories. But I've eaten more this week than I have in a while. I don't eat a lot to begin with, but before when I did eat, it was unhealthy (hence my problem), but now I'm making it a point to eat all three meals with a couple snacks. So, what gives? What can I do differently?

Can't see your diary, so don't know what you're eating (or not eating), but if you're getting that message from MFP, I'm assuming your net calories are below 1200? MFP is set up so that you should eat back the calories you burned through exercise, so that your net calories for the day equal your goal (or at least at or above 1200, which is considered the lowest calorie intake for women).
  • yea, I'm not getting the 1200 calories I need. I guess I just need to start eating more. LOL. Well thanks for your reply!! ;)

If you're eating a lot of diet foods (lite, low fat, etc), go back to the regular versions.

Add healthy but calorie dense foods like nuts, seeds, nut/seed butters, avocados, more lean meats, even dark chocolate.

    Good luck!
