Hello,
I'm 42 and my weight is 166 pounds. I have a 17 month baby girl and I just can't seem to lose the weight. I was 127 pounds when I got pregnant and was a runner. I loved running it was part of my life. Walked on the beach with my dogs every Saturday. I "was" very athletic loved to exercise.
Now my life is so very different. Our baby has disabilities and she's had 3 major surgeries on her skull so life has not been easy. Along with stress due to medical bills and finding the best Dr.'s my stress level never seems to decrease. I don't exercisse at all and have no energy!!
On top of having a baby at 40 I now am in full blown per-menopause so it's even more difficult to lose the weight. Hormones are not kind to women. However I'm so happy I found this site. Hoping it will help me to lose the weight and change my routine. I know from experience it's not about dieting. it's about change and routine for good. I just need friends to help me get there.

I would love to offer you some support, on your weight loss journey. I am 42, and currently weigh 175lbs (lost 12lbs so far) and am hoping to reach my goal of 130 (haven't been this weight since before I had my 2 boys (they are now 14 and 12!!!!). Have tried to lose weight so many times in the last 14 years, but I guess I was always hoping for a quick fix, and imagined that the pounds would just melt away effortlessly (obviously they didn't) This time I am being realistic and taking it one day at a time. Slow and steady. The longer it takes to come off, the better, so by the time I reach my goal, this way of life will be second nature!!

Good luck, it is definitely doable!
