Injured Tendon

I recently (Aug 12) injured the tendon in the back of my ankle. I know I need to take it easy, doing ice and rest, plus a brace when walking. Any suggestions for workouts? I miss my cardio.

I have the same injury, achilles tendinitis, right? I haven't seen a specialist, but my general doctor told me it would be okay to ride the stationary bike for cardio if I wanted to. Swimming would also be a good option, I would think. I was told no walking, no elliptical, and no lower body exercises. No planks or pushups Certainly no squats or lunges (which I'm pretty sure is what got me into this mess).
I'm near my goal weight so I decided to give my lower body a rest for a little while and focus on upper body and core strength training until I'm given the green light to start exercising again. I'm seeing a sports medicine specialist next Wednesday.0 -
Thanks! I've been jogging, and that's out. I'll have to look into a gym membership I guess. Hope your appointment goes well!0
