I recently (Aug 12) injured the tendon in the back of my ankle. I know I need to take it easy, doing ice and rest, plus a brace when walking. Any suggestions for workouts? I miss my cardio.

I have the same injury, achilles tendinitis, right? I haven't seen a specialist, but my general doctor told me it would be okay to ride the stationary bike for cardio if I wanted to. Swimming would also be a good option, I would think. I was told no walking, no elliptical, and no lower body exercises. No planks or pushups :( Certainly no squats or lunges (which I'm pretty sure is what got me into this mess).

I'm near my goal weight so I decided to give my lower body a rest for a little while and focus on upper body and core strength training until I'm given the green light to start exercising again. I'm seeing a sports medicine specialist next Wednesday.

Thanks! I've been jogging, and that's out. I'll have to look into a gym membership I guess. Hope your appointment goes well!
