I deactivated myself from myfitnesspal yesterday and have come back as the NEW me. I have been on an infinitely long journey to good health, and during the last year and a half of the 15 year journey, I have used this site as a tool. I have come back to lose 20 vanity lbs. to move from overweight to normal and to stay healthy while doing so.

My former myfitnesspal persona had moved from morbidly obese, cancer patient, high blood pressure, high cholesterol inactive middle-aged woman to a cancer survivor, slightly older, slightly overweight, normally happy person with normal blood pressure and normal cholesterol. I am staying in this new place for a bit (maintaining), because it is a great place to be! I want it to be my baseline now. I will continue the journey at a very slow pace enjoying all the sights and life experiences that I missed for so many years.

With regard to Myfitnesspal, the new me will use it the way I used it before. I will continue to track my food through the diary feature. When I reach my next goal, overweight to normal and maintain it for a year and a half, I will again go through a metamorphosis on the site and adoopt a new persona. I follow and contribute to the forums periodically. While I do not use the friend feature, I have tremendous admiration for a great number of the people using this site and I'm proud to be sharing this experience with you.
