Lunges - do you like to go forward or backward?

I think I keep better form when I go backward during alternating lunges, so I do most of them that way.
Am I missing out on anything by not doing more of them going forward?

I feel the same way, not sure why but I feel like I have better form on reverse/backward lunges.0

I used to hate all lunges but now I love them all. Every postion emphasises a different part of the leg musculature and so you should try to work lunges from all available angles.

There are hundreds of variations. youtube Lunge matrix or research lunge matrix and you will be amazed.0 -
Thanks for these responses.
I do vary the squats and lunges I do somewhat (stationary, alternating, using a step), but I'll enjoy looking at the Lunge Matrix this evening and adding more variety.0 -
That's great, do the research you will not regret mastering lunges and then adding upper body movements to the lunge.0
