I'm new to MFP and have been focusing on just learning to eat right these last 2 weeks. I've only gotten in 1-2 days of cardio per week and I know I need a bit more exercise. Especially something with strength & toning. I currently own Jillian's 30 day shred and Ripped in 30. I have done the 30DS in the past and loved it. I've only tried Ripped in 30 a couple times and feel like I need to do the 30DS first to gain up my strength & endurance before trying the other video again. But I also get a bit bored with repetition of the same workout everyday and would like to find more dvds I enjoy. What are your top 5 dvd workouts that you enjoy most & feel they are giving you results?

I do a proper lifting routine with aerobic days mixed in, that is something a DVD WON'T give you

I recently moved and am having trouble locating my workout DVDs. I have been using "Gilad" in the morning on television. I wasn't sure if I was making any gains. However the other day, I stretched to open the blinds and I could feel the results of a solid ab work out!!! I think for me, I tend to get bored very easy so I am mixing it up. I have made new friends and am learning my new environment by walking the bike paths. I have visited a couple of gyms and I bought a jump rope. I must admit, the morning workouts allow me to have my work out behind me once I leave the house for the day.

I'd love to get into a gym but it's not possible right now so I'm trying to find dvds that can get me going on the exercise end while I continue to get my eating habits corrected.

Has anyone tried any of the Biggest Loser workout dvds yet? Like or dislike? Pros/cons?

I love doing anything by Jillian Michaels, and so I was actually kind of surprised when I tried two of the Biggest Losers DVD's and they were still really challenging! Jillian makes me feel like I have superhero strength, I figured these dvd's would be easy, but they were actually still a very good workout. That being said, Bob Harper has a way of hurting my back. I can't figure out which exercise specifically, but watch out for that!
  • I'm doing 30 Day Shred right now in addition to running every day. I also really like Turbo Jam and Insanity is really good too (but REALLY hard - I have yet to get thru it)

I love Insanity and Rockin' Body (if I am looking for a fun workout), also enjoyed some of the P90X videos. I know the JM 30 Day Shred is popular but I couldn't stand JM, I didn't find the workout very difficult and she is so annoying, I ended up giving the DVD away.. I would also suggest getting some hand weights, resistence bands...
