Lost 38 - lacking motivation

So I started my weight loss journey back last November, and worked my but off. I got down to 40 lbs lost then went on vacation and gained a few lbs back. I lost a couple more, but I have been lacking motivation. I would like to start something new. My goal was originally 40 now I'd say 50 but might change after that. I just have been stagnant.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks so much!

    Hi Ashley,

Maybe you can start off with the GM Diet it is a Cleanse which will knock off some pounds but maybe when you see those lbs go down you will get your motivation back.. You can go online and pull it up its the General Motors diet its for 7 days if you follow it you can lose between 7-15 lbs.

Good Luck on your journey... Hope that helps!!!

I'm kind of in the same boat, started great and now struggle to stay motivated. Feel free to add me if you like, perhaps we can give each other some motivation.

General Motors diet - hilarious. I went on line and looked it up. It was supposedly developed in conjunction with the U.S. Dept of Ag - but all of the spellings use the British spelling for words. What a bunch of quack! Plus, it's just the cabbage soup diet anyway.

So you could do that, or you could just start eating right and exercising.

Feel free to add me as well, I also lost motivation a few months back and didn't really exercise regularly for about a month.

Then I realized I missed the gym and sweating (crazy to see myself type that now...was NOT the case a year or two ago) then got back to the elliptical and weight lifting.

I'm about to start the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels, I'm a bit nervous to start it, but I like structured exercise regimes and I think I'll lose a couple inches off my waist at the very least =)

But to get back on track I had to revisit the "why" of all this, why I was motivated and why I wanted to continue losing weight. I always check out the reality of health and weight loss on tumblr and blogilates.com when I need a boost of motivation.
