I just read that article about food labels being off by 20-70%.
What am I supposed to eat? Can I trust ANY food out there? I always knew that restaurant calorie counts were bogus, but the back of a box of pasta can be wrong? A slice of cheese? A container of yogurt? An ice-cream treat?
How about a damn slice of bread? Or a package of chicken breast? Can I trust the nutrition facts about vegetables either?
I was doing so well not bingeing or purging or restricting, and all I want to do now is never eat again. 0 calories a day -- I CAN TRUST THAT.
I'm crying and having a bit of a meltdown.. Somebody help.

The labels should be right, if they are not, you complain about deceptive advertising and they have to redo them.
To lose weight though, figure out how much you used to eat, and eat less. Figure out how much you exercised and exercise more. Drink more water.
The weight will come off, it isn't worth the meltdown0 -
You've lost 9 pounds, so obviously something is correct here and there.
Honestly? I wouldn't worry about it. We're all using the same labels, and there are plenty of people (yourself obviously included) that are still losing weight despite it.
Just keep on keepin' on.0 -
you just have to do what you can. Control your portion sizes, eat as much fresh and lean foods as possible. I know its annoying to learn this information but as long as you are making an effort to watch what you are eating ( and not only calories in the food but portion control is a huge part of it) you will be okay. just make sensible choices and eat in moderation.0
