Diverticulosis and 1200 Calorie diet

I was diagnosed with diverticulosis a year ago. For the last year I've been sticking to around 30 grams of fiber a day. Now I want to cut calories. Should I be able to cut the grams of fiber as well?

So is the recomendation to make sure a certain percentage of you calorie intake is fiber? Or do I need to stick to 30 grams to ensure a happy belly?

    My net will be 1200, right now it's about 1600.

    Aye didn't see where it was specified anywhere....That said I wood tri too keep the fiber up. Metamucil oar gummy fiber supplements can help you without affecting calories much.
