Newbie with bad luck...

Hi All! I'm new to MFP and so far I'm loving it. I've been logging my food for a week and trying to get into an exercise routine. My DH and I both joined. We're both looking at it as a change and not a diet. I am amazed at how much better I'm doing at meal planning. For many years I've been one to skip breakfast, so it kind of feels like I'm eating more than ever.
This morning I sprained my ankle getting out my car. I don't normally believe in Murphy's Law but just last night I was looking at excercises and pulled up walking. I was amazed to see how many calories are burned walking on crutches. Thankfully, I'm not on crutches but have to stay off my feet for the next few days and then I have to wear a brace for at least two weeks.
I'll continue to log my food. I definitely feel differently (better!) and I'm sure eating right has just as much to do with it as exercise.
