Weigh in fluctuations?

I weighed in this morning and, to my dismay, lost nothing. I sat down and stressed out for about 20 minutes and then hopped back up and checked again. Now the number says I lost about a pound and a half! What's going on here? I'd like to get as consistent as possible results, so figuring this out would be awesome. :)

I wish I had a great answer for you, but I wonder the same thing. I have read that you should weigh at the same time everyday. Please let me know what you find out. One can never have too many friends so I sent you a request.
    Good luck,

Probably a digital scale, they have pretty loose tolerances do to the way it averages the four points

Just measure your self once a week or less, don't let the number stress you out.

@danne32339 - I do try to weigh in the same time, the same day, and with the same clothes every week. I just found it surprising that in 20 minutes, I could fluctuate that much.

@drmerc - Ah. That scale is electric. I weigh twice every time to try to get it to be consistent, but maybe I should stop doing that and get a normal scale. Thank you!

Just go with the first reading every morning, try not to stress so much
