Under my calories today

When you are under your calories for the day do you try and make them up with snacks or a bigger meal? I tend to under eat when I watching what I eat due to me cutting all the junk out of my diet. I am still short calories for the day and I know noth taking in enough calories hinders weightloss.

    Hypothetically, if I were reasonably close, like less than 200 under, then I would just be happy I was under. Especially if I were the type of person who might go over by 100 or 200 calories on another day.

    I would check my protein level, though, and if it was too low, then I would probably drink a protein shake or eat a high protein snack to bring it up, because I'm trying to gain/maintain my lean mass so I shoot for 1 gm per pound of lean body weight.

    Unfortunately, I'm a mostly-controlled compulsive eater, so I eat every single calorie I'm allotted. LOL
