Hi there,
I'm new and have been checking out the site to get the hang of it. A bit about me: I'm 56, need to lose about 75 lbs, lower my BP & cholesterol. I have been raising my 13-year-old grandaughter since she was 6, and suppose I've been eating out of frustration. I lose some, gain some, etc., etc. I've been having trouble just getting started.

I'm impressed with all of you who have lost weight and hope to be able to follow suit. Please feel free to give me a push when I need it...like right now :smile:

    Think of this as a new way of life, not just a temporary diet.

    It always helps me to log my food first before I eat so there are no surprises. :laugh: :laugh:

    Find a group to be part of and check in with them every day. The best way to find a group is to go to the message boards and read a lot of the threads until you find a group that has what you want, then reply and say you want to join and then participate regularly with them and get to know them. My groups are 50+ women and senior golden sneakers. :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile:
