I have a daily calorie allowance of 1440. However, I have really been trying to watch my fat/sodium/sugar also. Whenever I switch my eating to fit in with my fat/sodium/sugar requirements I'm under 1200 calories but usually don't feel hungry. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't worry too much about sodium unless you're getting a huge amount for some reason, or have a condition that dictates you should get less of it. As for sugar, remember that you don't need to give too much thought to naturally occurring sugars as long as they fit in with your calorie goal. If you're getting a ton of added sugar, you may want to reevaluate eating the foods that those are coming from.
With fat, you should aim for 20-30% of your daily calories to come from Good fat.
I would not put any of those things ahead of hitting your calorie goal, and while I don't think 1200 calories a day is some kind of magic number that everyone MUST hit all the time, it's a decent guide to use. I wouldn't recommend anyone go under 1200 calories regularly unless a professional advises them to.0
