1 year on......

This week marks a year since I joined MFP. A year which has changed my outlook on food and weight forever. This is a brief story of my weight loss...
After being very miserable with my size and appearance on a camping trip to France in July 2011 I decided to do something about it....
My goal last August was to lose 21lbs by February. I lost 28lbs in that time and dropped 2 dress sizes! When I went on a special family holiday to Florida I felt brilliant I was not overweight I had a whole new wardrobe and I had more energy than I had had in years. Over the holiday I gained 7lbs - but I now had the understanding of food/exercise to lose that. Over then next two months I lost 10lbs giving me a net loss of 31lbs (and dropped another dress size - I maintained that for over a month and then after our most recent holiday (camping in the UK) gained 3lbs.
I am now back on the journey of losing again but this time only 3lbs to get back to where I was in June. I can wear UK10 clothes mostly now and I used to be a UK size 16. I am a healthy weight for my height and feel I have the knowledge to now maintain - I know I will gain a little if I go on holiday but I also know I can lose that weight again easily.
I am a normal working Mum (and had been overweight since I was 19 - am now 36) - I am not aiming for size zero status I just want to be healthy I currently weigh 149lbs and am just over 5'6" my goal is 146lbs.
