Plateau?! Eat more!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to pass along a small SV of mine, it's not a lot but it's enough to convince me that eating more will really help you lose weight!
During my first couple weeks using MFP, I was eating about 20 calories under my BMR. (And of course, BMR is only a mere estimate, so who knows how much I was actually eating under my BMR.) During those first few weeks the scale didn't budge, AT ALL. I was getting frustrated and thanks to the awesome people on this forum, I learned that I may be eating too few calories. I upped my calories (by about 300 a day!) and in 2 weeks I've lost 2 pounds!
Considering I was at my last 10lb plateau, I'd say that's pretty awesome.
So if you have hit a plateau and are still really active, don't be afraid to eat more like I was!

Yep that is what I am doing. I am eating at maintenance for 3 days to give my body a break from dieting. Then I am going to go back down. I thought I would gain weight but no I already lost another 8 oz! This happens every time I lose 10 lbs. now I know what to do. Instead of giving up after months of not losing I will just eat at maintenance a few days and then go back to cal deficit seems to work for me.0

Interesting! That's something I've been scared to do in the past. Thanks for the heads up.0
