HELP! I need some assistance!

OK... I am a mother of 4, 40+ lbs over weight. After watchimg mt husband loose over 50#s on MFP and gym... he is helping me get into the new lifestyle of being healthy. So here is what I want to kknow..... If you were my trainer... what type of regimine would you tell me to do.. again I am 40# over weight, not so in shape... looking to loose weight and tone muscle.. become fit.. what type of excercise, how much weight, how many reps, how much a week. Also what is your take on cardio for this point.. HELP!

    For me cardio has worked awesomely. I joined the YMCA and never looked back. Arc trainer, treadmill, recumbant bike, etc. mix it up! I usually try for 30-45 minutes each session. Weight training is great, too. Meet with a trainer and he/she will help you set yourself up and get acquainted with everything so you don't hurt yourself. Good luck!
