Anyone else feel panic stricken?

I love reading all of the success stories, they really help me believe that I can do this. BUT on the other hand, it almost puts me into a panic like mood. I definitely dont want to rush things becuase then I will gain it all back. But I think I need some new ideas to really kick start this weight loss? I feel like I have been hovering at 295-300 for 3 months. I would love to some day be 180.

Is a personal trainer worth it?
Should I spend the money to go to a gym? (even though I really dont want to)

What is everyone else doing to lose a significant amount of weight in a healthy amount of time?

Is a personal trainer worth it? YES! I only saw mine once a month but she monitored my difficulty level and helped me find exercises that worked for my body type, ability, old age aches and pains, and goals.

Should I spend money to go to a gym? If you don't want to, don't, you'll be more inclined to make excuses to skip. Do however find something you can and would enjoy. Do you live near a track or a place to run or walk, do you have access to a pool (some of the best exercises for the 200+ crowd), do you have weights, resistance bands or other exercise equipment at home?

What is everyone else doing to lose a significant amount of weight in a healthy amount of time? I've lost 75 pounds in 9 months give or take a week. I started with pool exercises when I was 260+, I added core resistance bands and yoga style strength training at about 200, I just began the couch to 5K program as my excuse to drop the gym because the pool water is destroying my hair and to save some money, currently 184.

I also set mini goals so I don't get overwhelmed by the big picture. For example my mini goal is to be 175 by Halloween. focusing on the 9 pounds I have left to get there in two months is way less stressful then focusing on my overall goal to lose 115 pounds especially at the beginning.
