edited December 2024 in Motivation and Support
So the sinny of it is that I just moved from Oxford to Portsmouth, having lost two stone since December lat year. I know nobody here! At one point I was half way to three stone - but then I moved! And weight loss is so much harder without a group o friends you can turn to for support! So anyone local, please, go ahead and introduce yourself!

As well as looking for support I have lots of support to give - I know a lot about food nutrition and the way the body works, but my particualr forte is low fat and low cal recipes, in particular healthy versions of all those foods we love! Lasagne, curry, etc.

Hope to hear from you soon :)

    First post. De- lurking.

I'm near Horndean, and also a bloke. Just started on here 10 days ago after putting over 5 stone on in the past 5 years, having gone down from over 18 stone to under 12 in 2005 / 6

All my gain is down to bad food choices, too many pints of HSB & pub lunches :drinker: , unfortunately they do lovely fish & chips in the Spice Island Inn, Old Portsmouth

Lost just half a stone in 10 days which I think is good but may be too quick.

Off down Southsea tomorrow for a walk along the seafront, should help with the exercise, proving I can avoid the Ninth Hole near Canoe lake [top tip, avoid like the plague, the cakes are superb]
