shaking

I am shaking while I try to type, was shaking while trying to pay for lunch also. I'm guessing it is because I am not having enough calories? I am breastfeeding and chasing after a toddler as well....any thoughts on how to track all this any differently in my exercise area?

If you type breastfeeding into the food database it it will give you options and add calories for you.

For an EBF baby you need around 500 extra calories a day.

personally i'm hypoglycemic, meaning my blood sugar doesn't stay level, especially if i'm exerting a lot of effort (which it sounds like you are). for me, i have to be eating every 3 hours and avoid the sugar (i'm better at the eating than the avoiding) or i get like this. hope it helps--take care of yourself!!

Up your calories to "lightly active" or "moderately active" or just find the number online and adjust it manually. But if you are shaking, you are low on blood sugar, try eating an orange to give you a quick boost.

I just saw your diary, I am NOT an expert, but I suggest:

    Eating your morning snack
Having more for breakfast (skip the cherrios and go for some scrambled eggs, or a smoothie)
Make sure you're eating your breastfeeding cals, I'm EBF a 4mth old and have 3 toddlers/preschoolers, so I log an extra 500 cals for BF'd probably won't drop that down until she's 9mths and eating more solids and less BM

Don't shake - eat - shaking is definately a sign that your body needs more food!!

For heaven's sake, eat something! Drink a big glass of orange juice and have some protein!

This used to happen to me all the time. Now that I'm eating at regular intervals I don't have this problem anymore, but if I slack off on the weekends and forget to snack I get all shakey and naseous. I've found the best solution for a quick fix is sugar, then eat something with protein that takes a while to break down to give you some long-lasting energy.

Try adding oats in, porridge, make some flapjacks, they'll keep your blood sugars stable and oats help increase milk supply too.
