Hi!
So last year I weighed 155lbs and now I weigh just below 125lbs...thanks to MFP!!! So...after one year of trying out all different machines, I have decided on an elliptical machine. The prices are all over the place and I can only afford about $500 or less. I am open to buying a used one or new. I am so excited about finally getting one but I don't want to get something that will break down quickly, make funky noises, or hurt my feet/knees.
What do you guys recomend? for those of you who have ellipticals, can you give me your reviews? Any ideas would be welcome...

I bought one last year. My hubby did major research on which one to buy. Mine was over 1000 bucks but because am tall i had to get one with a longer stride length. I had a proforma one and hated it made my knees hurt. I currently have a Sole 55. Here is the website that my husband used to get info on the brands and what was the best in each price range.

make sure you go and try them out. See how your knees feel after a while. My husband draged me to all these sporting goods store to try them. It helped me decide which one was the best fit for me.

I found a used Reebok on Ebay which is great. I do 20 mins a day - what a difference it's made! You need to decided what programs you want it to do - mine has 8 different programs so I've been experimenting to see which I prefer. I have dodgy knees but so far
its been okay. Hope you find what you are looking for.
