Plateau Help!!!

I have been on MFP since Halloween. I have seen about a 40lb weight loss so far. However in the past 6+ weeks I have doing the texas two step...two pounds up, two pounds back. I am getting frustrated. I have played around with my calories, even reducing them to 1000 a day just to jump start myself again only to find myself gaining two pounds. I tried to increase my workout only to loose 1/2 pound. I have tried to redue my carb intake....I am stuck and need help.

I checked through other blogs that had the same issues but I was not able to get any help. What have other's done when they hit a plateau???
