How To Avoid Loose Skin When Losing Lbs???

Im sure a lot of us like to compare our bodies to others befores and afters. I know I do it a lot to see where I could end up at the end of my journey. I try to find someone with a similar body type that has lost a fair amount of weight to see where it comes off. Then I will message them to find out how they did something specific.

Im really worried about my arms. Even the first round of weight loss that I did, my arms were still really lacking tone and werent shrinking like I had hoped. Does anyone have any thoughts/comments/ideas on how to work your arms better as to avoid having that extra skin look? :/

SLOW weightloss, hydrated skin, lots of water. The rest is up to your body. You can't decide where you might have loose skin and sadly many people need a tummy tuck/corrective surgey after a substancial weight loss.

Edit to say: I only half read your post... :P Strength training/heavy lifting should do the trick with regards to your arms. :)

I think some of it depends on the amount of weight lost but i have always heard that it is essential to incorporate weight lifting to your exercise routine to avoid the loose skin (AKA bat wings)

Lol, thanks for the edit! :) Im gonna try pushing myself super hard on weights. I know I wont bulk up at all, just help tone. I fear surgery for my arms is going to be necessary. I already know a tummy tuck is in the works. Thank you 10.4lbs child... LOL. I am doomed without surgery! :P

If you have alot of weight to lose that will cause loose skin, you must incorporate weight training. Weight training will not only tense up that skin but will grow muscle in the skin to fill it out.

You can even do body weight exercise if you are afraid of putting on muscle. (some girls are afraid that a bit of muscle makes them look manly, which is crazy imo)

When I lost weight the first time around, I did a lot of weight training as well as cardio. My biceps were looking much better and I actually had upper body strength. But the tri area was effed. :/ I hate the term bat wing lol. Sounds so harsh. But kind of motivational!

Totally agree. Im not afraid to bulk up. To add the kind of muscle people think they will get from heavy weights, you need to be a serious weight lifter and eat all kinds of calories and supplements. IMO. Im not afraid of the heavy weights! :)
