Guys to your experience, which vegetables and fruits can be frozen that when unfroze are still good? Or what shouldn't be frozena t all.
I understand some stuff is not meant to be frozen and that's why I don't do that very often but the main reason will be not knowing what can y toss in the freezer and what I shouldn't.
I can tell you that frozen grapes are great, they don't get as hard as ice ever, more like smoothie ice when you eat them so I recommend it.
Oh, well thanks if you have tips ^^.

I think all fruits and veggies, except for lettuce, can be frozen. But the texture will change when thawed. Tomatoes will really turn mushy, so if you freeze them they would be best in sauce/soup afterwards.0

Above is a good site. I would say certainly not to lettuce and cucumbers but most else should be good at least for cooking. Most you cannot thaw and eat raw. You would need to add them to a hotdish or something.
I regularly freeze onions, celery, peppers and tomatoes individually diced so I can add them to omelets, chili, etc. as needed. Works fantastic to not have to go buy them each time and since I live in the frozen tundra it works great for the cold months of the year.
BTW -- Some sites say you have to freeze certain fruits in sugar solution but I have found that is not true. I freeze stone fruits (peaches, nectarines) without liquid and they are great for smoothies or eating frozen. Just spread the fruits/veggies out on a cookie sheet, freeze for about 4 hours then put them in a ziploc bag. Makes them so they do not freeze together.0 -
I freeze pretty much everything, most veggies freeze well, but I know some of the softer fruits don't return back to their natural state/texture when unfrozen so I just chuck them in the blender and make a smoothie! I always freeze stuff because its soo much cheaper and lasts so long!
Just do what I do, if you wanna freeze something just google it before hand there will be someone on the internets who will know if it will freeze well or not0 -
Ah nice thanks
. So I get yeah, i can froze many things just keeping in mind they are meant to be used for cooking and not eating them raw as they were before, with little exceptions that taste better like bananas and grapes.
Thank you all.
And nice site, added to my 'Nutrition' folder0 -
