PMS cravings?

There are a very few days of the month when I crave Chinese food and/or pizza. I'll be honest, I'm not interested in making a "healthier alternative" at home. It's been days now, and the cravings are still here. I'm hungry! Do you know of any tips for handling these monthly cravings?

Would be interested in the answer to this as well. I crave chocolate real bad during that time of the month. Sometimes the cravings drive me absolutely insane.

That's the problem that's hitting me about now. What I have heard that works was to make some no yoke noodles and add soy sauce, beef or chicken strips, and peanuts. For me it's carbs that I crave. I'll eat a baked potatoe or mac and cheese. Not the healthy way.
  • Well, I have to admit that I gave in to the cravings. If I know that I will only want these items 2-3 days out of the month I figured why not have a taste. I won't lose my pound this week, but I'm hoping that having my two moments of weakness (out of 28-31 days possible) is acceptable. I think the more you deny yourself something the more the cravings grow. Tonight I ordered pizza. I ate three slices and then threw the rest away. This is not economical, but I have met my craving and can move on. A few days ago I went to a Chinese restaurant. Instead of ordering the large take out portions, I hit the buffet. I tried to fill my plate with veggies, but I so love the rice noodles! I did go back for a second plate, but didn't fill it quite so full and didn't even finish it. My two cravings have been met and now they are not clouding my focus. I think that my will power will get stronger, but for now if I "mess up" 2-3 days out of the month I can live with that--it's better than how I used to eat.
