I am 47 and have always been 20+ pounds more than I have always wanted to be. I am currently 190 pounds, er, make that 188 because I have been tracking everything on this site. Although I think I always make healthy eating choices I have had tendency to not worry about my caloric intake (beers with friends, entertaining clients and eating out when traveling, etc.) and portion control.

For the last 10 years I have been fairly consistent in my weight (no yo-yoing) and 15 pounds less than my maximum. I think it's time for me to get to my ideal weight which I believe is 170 pounds. Anything less would probably mean I would have to starve myself and it just seems so unachievable that I don't want to think about it right now. I don't think I can ever be less than 160 no matter how hard I try now I would want to.

If you are reading this, you are probably wondering what my point is. None really I guess :). I am not a blogger type but this seems to help, to let it out I guess.
