illness and weight loss

Well, I think I'm coming down with something. I've got chills and feel cruddy. Today, I've been unable to eat over 400 calories of my allowance.
What I want to know is this: if this goes on for a few days, will this compromise my weight loss? I don't want to go into starvation and make myself sicker.
I did bring home several cans of Muir Glen soups today, so maybe I can make myself eat some tomorrow. I'll push the fluids so I don't get dehydrated. I have a chronic illness that can cause me to get dehydrated quickly, so I have to be careful there.
Anyone got any suggestions for me?

A couple days from illness isn't going to change anything. Just get well & stay hydrated.0

A few days will not mess up your metabolism. Try to feed your body something, and hydrate well.
When you feel able to eat again.. try the BRAT diet
Bananas
Rice
Apples
Toast (crackers)
Mild on tummy and gets the digestive track back in working order.0 -
Rice water...cook rice with twice the water normally used, and drain, cool, and drink the extra water...it will keep you hydrated and give you a fair bit of nutrition to help your body recover, but it's still liquid so if you don't feel like eating it's a good alternative. It usually tastes kind of sweet and you can mix it with a drink flavor (like kool-aid or crystal light) if you prefer something less plain.0

I felt horrible a couple months ago, RIGHT before Vacation! I lost like 5 lbs in 3 days! Had to go on the BRAT diet for 2 or 3 days. Your body wont go into starvation mode right away...You may lose quite a bit then bring a few lbs back when you strt eating normal again or, you may leave it off. But, a few days of being sick wont hinder things. If anything, you may have to take it slow for a few days when getting back into the groove of things.

Thank you so much for your input. I will definately keep what all of you said in mind. I was feeling better this morning, but after my walk a little while ago, I started feeling icky again. I'm feeling a bit like I have a mild flu, but at least it's not a crohn's flare. THAT would be really bad, and I'd be back on the steroids.0
