oh mad someone in work was talking about it saying how they are doing skinny recipes. Will have to go on the BBC food website and fine out a few.0

I've made the Italian meatballs in chunky tomato sauce and the Spanish chicken bake. Both were yummy!0

They had it in at my local Asda last week... one short sighted old dear picked up a copy, and asked me to sign it for her... She was convinced that I was Si... despite a total lack of Geordie Accent on my part :laugh:0

Got my book on Thursday and so far have done the Sweet and Sour Chicken - thumbs up from me and the non dieting hubbie.
Today trying the pies and lasagne.
What appealed to me about the book was that it caters for "proper"meals. What I mean by that is a meal I can cook both me and my husband without having to faff around changing it so it fills him up whilst is good for me still. Even my husband likes the look of recipes (who do you reckon asked for the pies today? )0 -
I made the cheese, onion & leek pasties, did use twice as much cheese than stated, but they still came under 300 cals each & were delicious & filling, was going to freeze some but the family loved them too lol0

On the scales yesterday morning and It appears I have lost half a stone, I'm delighted but it's a long way to go. This has been achieved mainly sticking to the Hairy Dieters recipes in their book without too much excersising. The book seems to be working for me and proved to be my best buy yet.

Hahaha, love it! Now I could understand it if it was Billy Connolly's autobiography or something!
I've got the book - in my local Tesco for £7.46, so far made Paprika Chicken and Chicken Jalfrezi - both were very tasty indeed, but did involve a certain amount of "faffing" so not super quick teas (or dinner if you're posh!!) . Have the italian meatballs earmarked for my next try out. Plenty in there to keep me going for a while, and I'm a cookbook-a-holic!!!0 -
Try the Lamb, Potato and Spinach curry. It is amazing.0

My fav is the sweet n sour chicken, mmmmmm as I am missing my chinese takeaways, Plus the tuna sweetcorn pasta lunch is so easy to make and blooming gorgous. My Hubby is loving the recipes so far. He is attempting to make the Chicken Korma today. Fingers crossed lol x0

They are amazing!! I don't really cook anything else anymore - everything is there is so nice, that's all we really cook these days. The jambalaya is gorgeous.0

My mam has made quite a few of the recipes and every single one was gorgeous! So far have had cottage pie, paprika chicken, chicken korma, coconut prawn curry, beef and ale casserole, fish stew, and lamb tagine. Some of the recipes do require quite a lot of time and effort, but are totally worth it! For a speedy dinner do the coconut prawn curry, takes about 15 mins to prepare and cook and it's amazing! xxxx0

I made a version of their cassoulet in the crock pot this weekend (didn't brown anything, just chucked it in). It made a lot, and when I put the ingredients I used in the recipe maker here, it was only 350 calories for a generous bowlful (probably because of the low fat turkey sausage I used, plus I had chicken breasts on hand so used them instead of thighs).
I loved it!0 -
The book is great! I have harissa chicken for lunch today!
I got it from the book people.

Go for it, tried quite a few of their recipes, very tasty.
Inspiration seeing two large chaps shedding 6 stones between them.0 -
You can like them on facebook too, some of the recipes are there. I love the ones I've tried though I dont eat meat so I had to adapt some of them.0

Amazing! their paella is to die for... Easy cook chicken is yummy... the salmon with chilli and ginger is quality... I could go on and on...!!!:drinker:0

My Husband and I are using these receipes and have enjoyed every one so fara big batch at the weekend and then slip into the freezer in appropriate portions. Takes the guess work out of calories and because it is already made and just needs heating up there is less chance of the "cannt be bothered cooking, just get a take away".
Great book well worth the money.0 -
Totally fab! Tried loads and our favourite is the Paprika Chicken which the kids love too!0
-
Yeah, i like the one's i've tried.
Their lasanga with leek as the pasta sheets was very good.
Don't quite agree with their dieting approach on the tv series. But you can't knock the recipe's.0 -
I bought the book through Amazon and have to say that it is fantastic. The only thing I would say is that the calories that their recipes tell you come up differently in the recipe calculator on here. The recipes are fantastic and also family pleasers so no need to cook separate meals. I would most definitely recommend :-)0

I made the paprika chicken it is so tasty0

yeah my mum bought me a copy last year and its brilliant. we love the bread pasties and pizza dough pies and the cup cakes are good we enjoyed the casserole and the skinny lasagna but i found it messy to serve. if you still haven't got a copy of the book which (i'd thoroughly recommend and well worth the money) you can get the recipes that they do in the series on the bbc web site ok hope this helps0

Was bought this book for Christmas and not yet tried the receipies, i know a couple of people who also have the book and have tried some of them and seemed impressed with them.
Always worth looking in Asda/Sainsburys/Amazon, normally the cheapest options.0 -
