I have been dealing with soooooo many 1D10T and PICNIC errors this last week it's driving me nuts!

Anyone got anymore great acronym for these people?

    LOL - So glad to be out of helpdesk!! Still work in IT, but I do SAP Security now. Still deal with ID10T issues and PEBCAK (we always said chair and keyboard) errors, but far less frequently. :)

    I got out of that field 1.5 years ago and haven't missed it one bit!!

    If you work on an IT helpdesk this is your bread and water, so don't knock it - however frustrating.

    I've worked 3rd and 4th line previously, and as a consultant. Present company excepted, most support desk staff I've dealt with are useless without their script or list of things to try anyway, so not much of barrier separating them with 'dumb' users.

    I once had to placate the CFO of my company, despite the fact that he was a d*ck. He'd got into an argument with the service desk and thrown his laptop out of a third floor window. It didn't bounce.
