Psyllium Husks Caps

Hi

I was watching Jillian Michaels on youtube and she had suggested taking a fibre supplement, either in powder or tablet form!

Has anyone tried them?

Thanks

I use both the psyllium caplets and Benefiber to supplement my fiber intake. The caplets are 3g per 6 caps, which is a lot of pills to swallow if you take the recommended 3 doses per day. Benefiber is a lot easier to take. I just stir it into my water.

I do 1 dose of caplets and 2 doses of Benefiber per day for 9 g total fiber. If I'm eating a lot of high fiber food on any given day I will skip the supplements. I do whatever I need to get at least 20g per day.
  • does the benefibre have any taste to it? As if it didnt have a bad taste I would quite happy mix it into my water and drink it that way.

I take Psyllium husk capsules, and they are a lot to swallow, but my mom uses physillium husk powder and mixes it into a smoothie and takes it that way.

I don't taste it, even when mixed into plain water. You can mix it into just about anything. I put it in my protein shakes and yogurt too.
  • Why don't you use the Raw Psyllium Husk powder?
Mix it with your fav drink.

I have a personal Blender and I mix one heaping tsp with about 1-1/2 cups of Trop 50 (Or Tropicana 50 Orange Juice with Calcium) hey mix it with The Prune juice that's out anything you like...
It is delicious I'm thinking of making that 2 per day but 1 kind of get you going "No PUN INTENDED"!!! LOL
