I have been working out about 5 days a week for almost a year. I do the eliptical, walk a lot, push ups, videos on occasion but my favorite is the exercise bike. I will bike 1-1.5 hours a day. Yesterday I decided to try something new I got my aerobics step out and did that for 30 minutes. My calves are so sore today. Now I know why mixing up my routines is important. My calf muscles are so tight that it hurts to walk!

I have a love/hate relationship with that feeling. I love knowing that I did something different enough that my body gets sore from it. Drink lots of water, maybe a dip in a hot tub, and some advil. You should be good as new in about 2-3 days.

I was that way too about this time last year. It will get better. Make sure you stretch before exercising., though. It has helped me immensely.

For the last 10 years or so my first day after the first day of skiing was torture! Seemed like every muscle in my legs was saying "Hey! Cut it out!" the next day.

This year, though, nothing! Not a peep out of any of them! Or my knees either.

That's exactly how I will feel after going roller skating with my daughter tonight. Who knew there were thigh muscles inside my thigh muscles.

I feel your pain... I've been sore since Monday because I started heavy lifting in my weight training routine and boy I feel like a robot. Atleast I know my muscles are working...

I've been training for a race so I am on the treadmill every day.

This past weekend I took a kickboxing class and then a power sculpt class and by Monday I could barely move! In the kickboxing class we did 200 lunges, 200 squats, 200 push ups and kicking and boxing...all in 45 minutes!

Once I was able to actually get up and down out of chair without assistance, it actually felt good to know that I had worked all those muscles. I had muscle aches in places that I didn't even know I had muscles!
